Can someone describe the different in style between Italian and American cotton men's pants? Are the Italian slacks tailored slimmer than an American Classic style slacks? Which American maker is more close to the Italian style? GAP? BR?

I would like to dress with a more European , specifically Italian, style. It is rather easy to do with a suit, just buy an Italian made suit, but for casual clothing I don't want to pay up for imported slacks and shirts when I can buy something locally made that will give the same look.

Just because something is made in Italy doesn't mean it will give you an Italian style . . . It just means that it was made in Italy (and even then, not always 100%).

Want to dress with an Italian style? I suggest you look at lots of pictures of Italians. You might be surprised to find that they wear stuff made in China sometimes!!! OMG!

Isn't GAP clothing made in China? I think BR is made in Turkey.

I honestly wouldn't know what direction to point you in to find Italian style other than Italy. But you could always check out http://thesartorialist.blogspot.com/
He is sometimes in Italy and takes pictures.
