Is this blazer too long? Tell me!!

As long as I'm asking questions, is this blue blazer too long or within the range of normal?

Normal. The waist seems a tad tight, and the sleeves need to be shortened a little, but the fit doesn't look bad. The bigger issue, to me, is the peak lapels. I don't get that on a SB blazer.

Do you think the peak lapels are a little much? I think they are stylish but I'm an amateur. Flashy? It's Tom Ford.

I wouldn't say flashy so much as odd. If it makes you happy, and you can work with it, go for it. It's not as if it's a super trendy, super short, super skinny blazer like the terrible stuff you see these days. On the other hand, it's not what I would call a classic looking blazer.

One last question: Could I wear it to work as well as casually?

Depends on your work I suppose. I don't wear blazers in professional business settings, but that seems to be my personal bias, as many others say they are acceptable. Again, the peak lapels might look a little fashion forward for business, but I don't think anyone will notice.

One last question: Could I wear it to work as well as casually?

Dunno about work as i have yet to have a job. But i wear the older version of that jacket (silver buttons) out casually all the time. Its even held up in NYC rainstorms etc. The nicest is in the spring or fall when i just throw it over a tshirt or polo like how you are doing in that photo. Not very SF-esque but who cares.

Length OK. Peak lapels look wrong on single breasted blazer. Unhappy crossover.

Body length is good. I think the waist is fine - suppressed, for sure, but you are a young man.

Agree with CM re the sleeves.

CM's concern re the peak lapels is they are traditionally formal - double breasted suits, dinner jackets, etc - and so inappropriate for a blazer, which is traditionally informal. But a lot of those rules are now honoured in the breach. Single breasted suits with peak lapels, etc.

As CM says re work, it depends on the context. If you work in advertising, medicine, IT or some such, it probably wouldn't raise an eyebrow. It would be inappropriate in law, banking, politics and conservative business environments.

Bottom line is that I think you look good in it, and in wearing it you will be ahead of 98% of the population. But I would immediately have the buttons changed to brown horn. Brass is a bit "yo ho ho and a bottle of rum".

You've given me another reason to prefer brass buttons on navy blazers.

But seriously, it's fine. Peak lapels shouldn't get you fired.
