Just ordered myself a pair of tattersalls in 33. Yay! Looks like it was the last pair in that size. How easy would it be to let these out or take them in an inch?

Very easy. You should have about an inch and a half to work with either way.

Awesome choice. These are my second most worn pair of pants (behind the grey tweeds - also Epaulet).

Super easy. I took mine around to my mom and she altered them no worries (in at the waist, out at the calf, down at the hem).

Good to know. Thanks, guys! I don't think I'll have to let them out, but I may have to take them in a little. Of course, it's nice knowing it can go either way in case I end up eating a bit too much next Thanksgiving.

Thank you! These are some of my all-time favorite pants. A local guy wears them constantly with Cigar Longwings, and it's unbelievable.

I'm totally jealous about that. My Mom's not altering jack.

And for the next Spring delivery, I've got all my swatches cut and ready. We'll do a post later on today about them. And I'm happy to announce that we'll soon offer the "Modified Walt Short."

What fabric(s) will you be using for the shorts?

I had a pair of patchwork madras trousers once. I loved the look.

Everyone who saw me accused me of wearing pajama pants.

If you can make a pair of patchwork madras pants that can avoid this assumption by common folk, I would definitely give them a look. The slim fit alone might be enough to do it, so I'm thinking this is a genuine possibility.

The other 3 fabrics you're considering look good too, but likely wouldn't rank higher on my "want" list than most of the stuff you're already planning on offering. In other words, there's plenty of stuff that I already can't afford that I'd buy first.

Mike-
I remember you saying the shorts were going to have 7" inseam, is it possible that you would consider making them a bit longer say 9"?
