Shake Shack is incredible. I haven't had In N Out, but I'm quite confident that Shake Shack blows it out of the water by a mile.

Shake shack is overhyped. Everything is too oily. The lettuce and tomatoes don't give that fresh crisp tast that you get from in n out

In n out meat might not be better but it's a better burger

No way, Shake Shack is the platonic ideal of a "fast food" burger. Definitely don't think it's too greasy. About my only criticism of Shake Shack is that the fries could be better.

How can you say that? You've already admitted that you've never tried In N Out...

I was mostly objecting to the "too greasy" comment. I don't find it's any greasier than any other burger I've tried. You need a fair amount of fat in ground beef, otherwise it gets dry and gross.

i don't find SS burgers to be too greasy, though they are very beefy. And I've come to prefer the simple single cheeseburger with lettuce, tomato, pickle, and ketchup more than the Shack Burgers.

this is what i usually get and i think its way too greasy. like oil dribbling down through the paper bag greasy. its kind of gross. also am not a fan of the texture of everything. it's too mushy. the lettuce needs to add a little crunch to the texture and its if the bread has that too.

oh god. i am turning into :foo:

shake shack is great i just dont think its better than in n out

there's a steak and shake that's like 5 streets north of the one next to port authority thats pretty good and no lines

i've never had the grease in paper issue. If I did, the end of the bun would be a mutilated mess by the time I got to it, and I'd find that disgusing. Fortunately, that has not happened. They use green leaf lettuce, so one must add pickles or onions to give it some crisp texture. I go for the pickles and they are excellent.

their chicago-style dog, one the other hand, inevitably ends up with a mushy bun due to the huge amount of vegetables that are on it. I've come to dislike this.

isn't that what a chicago style hot dog is?

weird i get shake shack every time i go to the city and i get a lot of grease in the bottom of the paper bag that holds the hamburger.

i am a fan of the frozen treats tho. and the fact that they sell half bottles of wine and pretty good beer. and the hot foodie chicks and tourists that come. love people watching /creepy

If you guys are in NYC, check out Lucky's Famous Burgers. They remind me quite a lot of SS but with zero annoying lines AND THEY DELIVER.

I prefer Lucky's to SS, In N Out, and 5 guys.
