While I don't live in New York, I know a lot of executive types are driven about in those ubiquitous black Lincoln Towncars. Here is what I would choose, a 1970s Lincoln Continental. However, it absolutely needs to have a period-correct integrated telephone system and a huge antenna on the trunk lid.

New York has a very loose interpretation of the word "driving."

I'd call it more of a sudden jerking motion whilest being scared shitless as large metal vehicles ungracefully move within inches of one another.

David Bowie's character in The Man Who Fell To Earth had a '70s Lincoln Continental. It had the integrated phone system with an antenna, and also some kind of TV antenna for those mobile TV units. You can see it here in the last minute or so:

Shorter, but roomier, 25 ft turning circle.

Here's Nubar Gulbenkian's bespoke version:

Supposedly Woody Harrelson has one which he tools around LA in. I love black cabs, and supposedly they drive like a dream. There is so much passenger space, that if you pimped it out with leather seats, a cooler, a nice stereo, it could be te best car ever to be driven in.
