The only time that I'd cut down is if the same item was available for about the same price in my area. As long as the online price (including shipping) was still low enough to justify the wait, I'd keep shopping online. 44% of online shoppers say they would cut back if the Marketplace Fairness Act passes through Congress. I wonder if it is only a matter of time.... interesting that it only applies to retailers making over $1 million (eHABERDASHER would be exempt for the time being, so you guys are safe in the near term!)
It's definitely only a matter of time. This is another case of the laws not yet being sophisticated enough to keep up with technology. We're all used to paying sales tax, so it won't sting nearly as much as people may think.
