Está bien! Here is an example of great color coordination--the PS to the coat, of good taste, and of knowing how far one can go with bold patterns. An outstanding first post. That is a splendid knit tie. I like the white edge on the bottom.

Yes, a very nice look.

Thanks gents, it gives me the strength to keep posting. It seems strange having my own looks posted here among all the sartorial excellence, I feel quite humble actually.

Hello gents, I have been following this thread for quite a while, yes, 2 years now. I During my last 2 years I have improved my wardrobe and the way I dress considerably (can't look back at my old pictures as I feel ashamed), and still learning and improving. Thanks to someone's suggestion and encourage I am feeling brave today and I am posting here a few pictures and details of today's outfit. And being my first day I am not risking colours, blue will be. Feedback and opinions will be much appreciated. Francisco.
Very good first post! Yeah sure, I'm not crazy about silk knot in the lapel button hole, or the contrasting colour of said buttonhole. All-in-all though, it's better than 90% of all first posters.

Thought about @unbelragazzo 's point about light pants/dark shoes working better with suede, and decided to give it a shot today. Just got this jacket, and need to get the sleeves done.

Thank you so much Erik! To be honest it was the first time I wore the silk knot. I think it wasn't a good idea though. Your style is one of my favorite here by the way.

I think pants/shoes look pretty good together, but the fit on the pants is not working out, at least in this picture. The hem of a DB jacket should always be below the crotch of the trousers IMHO, and the line on these pants is falling apart. Cotton pants tend to do that.

Pants need little to no break to hold up better.

Yeah, these pants drape terribly. They're not cut so badly, but they turn into an unmade bed the moment I move. I think I need some worsted trousers in about this color.

I hadn't heard that guideline for DB jacket length, but it makes sense.

I suggest linen ones instead. Or flannel if for winter. Linen wrinkles, but it drapes pretty well.

I like linen, but I prefer it in darker colors. Maybe I'm being a bit silly, but I worry that linen this light would be tough to keep clean, while I'm not that worried about wool.

If I had packed my darker khaki linen trousers, I'd have worn those instead today.

For cooler weather, I'd really like a pair of tan cav twills or whipcords. I wear a lot of moleskin and cord when it gets cold, and those hold their shape reasonably well.
