@An Acute Style i would even go sans jacket man, this thing deserves to be shown in all it’s splendour.

I mean, that's the Beauty of the shirt right? Keep the jacket buttoned, have people say, " that shirt looks a bit off" then, BAM off comes the coat and are all like "wtf just happened there?" Excellent strategy!!

Thank you for the kind words @BlueSteel! The photos don’t do the colors in the sport coat justice. It looks like a tan coat with a mid brown Glen check in the photos, when in actuality it has a red and navy Prince of Wales check overlay. Try as I may, I couldn’t get the overlay to show up in the photos. Even this photo doesn’t tell the true story. The colors really pop IRL.

@AppleAndTree your fits have been spot on (color combos, very good fit of individual pieces, good photography etc) and this sport coat is no exception, very nice. Shirt, tie etc choices are 10/10, great shoes too.

But I am with @BlueSteel here. The overall color scale of the top and bottom half is too close (even after seeing the close up of the sport coat…) fit would be 10/10 with cream trousers. Darker brown trousers might also look good.

In truth, I’ve purchased two pair of cream trousers and one pair of dark brown recently. I didn’t like the fit of any of them and sent them all back. So technically, this wouldn’t be a new purchase, lol.

On another, but related subject: joining this forum reminds me of when I took up golf in that both groups are so supportive and willing to provide tips and guidance to the newcomer with the singular, expressed intent of making him better. These acts are worth noting and highlighting. Cheers!

Great look. I could never pull this off but you do it effortlessly. Personally I like the longer tie. Makes the look a bit more rakish and sprezzatura.
