I agree that a staple is something good in 10 years (which is why I wouldn't sub in a shantung as a staple or anything close to it). But I also don't think those two PoW's wouldn't be wearable in 10 years. Then again, I've not yet paid close attention to style for a decade, so perhaps I lack the perspective.

i love the black/white wu PoW, more so than the silks. i hate the sheen of most slik PoWs i see.

I think Rudals's choice of the Wu tie is fine, though I would like a plain black-and-white or navy-and-white more. But the multi-colored ones that Clags posted would not be good choices for a wedding tie IMHO. They're another kind of thing.

I wasn't suggesting them for a wedding. There I say traditional all the way. That the Rudals Wedding came up was just a coincidence.

What would you wear them with today? To me they're not suit ties. The first one I could maybe find a way to wear with tweed. The second one I'm unsure how to use.

Yea I understood you there...Stitchy brought the wedding part in. But also the PoW pattern is traditionally for wedding ties, so it's worth noting that you're taking a pattern that, when on ties is usually meant for one context, and changing it in ways that move it out of that original context.

How rough do they appear on your screen? They're pretty smooth on my iPad.

But I'd wear them with a navy suit in the evening. Though I suppose that's a pretty small niche, huh?

Did somebody say Laphroaig? I bought this for my team to commend them for putting extra effort during audit prep period. We're pooping this bottle open this Friday to celebrate.
Then I'll go home to an Aged 15 years
