If we're going to mention shellfish as well, I have to bring up something I discovered very recently and knocked my socks off: Caicos Lobster. So much tastier and satisfying than Northern Atlantic lobster IMO. Completely different animal, no claws - very meaty too.

Also, ecrevisses (crawfish?) and langoustines are amazing.

i believe that's the same species as the spiny lobsters we get here. i'm sure there's a difference between warm water/cold water, but i really love them, too. they're much leaner and with almost a minerally taste.

One of the best fish I've had was a tandoori trout outside Manali, India. Trout can be fantastic, or very boring.

I practically live off of Safeway individually frozen tilapia filets.
