Ive always wondered why this band has failed to attract much attention or a following. Their last few albums have rocked my cawk.

I think a lot of has to do with the fact that they had a pretty drastic change in styles along the way. They used to have a pretty big following in hardcore, but around the time they signed to Matador/released The Chemistry of Common life, they started losing some of the hardcore crowd and gaining some indie fans. Of course they still dip into both circles, but they're not really universally praised by any one scene anymore.

been a few months since I visited this thread. would still say Destroyer - Kaputt is holding on strong for one of the tops spots, but I think Nero - Welcome Reality is going to be album of the year unless something incredible comes along in the next couple months. The new M83 is definitely up there too, pretty epic album.
