I'm pretty sure that's Tad Williams
Seconded. Also an excellent series.
UNIFORM LA CHILLICOTHE WORK JACKET Drop, going on right now.
Uniform LA's Chillicothe Work Jacket is an elevated take on the classic Detroit Work Jacket. Made of ultra-premium 14-ounce Japanese canvas, it has been meticulously washed and hand distressed to replicate vintage workwear that’s been worn for years, and available in three colors.
This just dropped today. If you missed out on the preorder, there are some sizes left, but they won't be around for long. Check out the remaining stock here
Good luck!.

I thought it was pretty terrible. Couldn't even make it through the first novel.
Bumping this as I've just read the Rothfuss books, which I completely enjoyed. They weren't terribly original, but very engaging, they really hit the spot for escapist fun light reading. I am eagerly awaiting the next one, hope it isn't too many years Also I've started Tim Powers 'On Stranger Tides' which is pretty good, I'll be moving on to more of his books when I finish.Patrick Rothfus - Name of the Wind
+1 Wise Man's Fear was a bit of a let down after the incredible freshman effort. Still a good read, if a bit gratuitous and overlong. It felt like a big lead up to the third novel which should have far more storyline progression (really getting into the "meat" of Kvothe's legend). Way of Kings by Sanderson was quite good. I've read it twice now since it was released and it has inspired me to re-read the WoT series just so I can get to the Sanderson books...god help me.
