Etro shirts, very low quality

Etro shirts don't fit me at all. However, I once bought a pair of white pinstripe Etro cotton pants on sale and I just love them: the cloth has a wonderful crisp and light feel to it. I am just a bit confused by the label extending along the zipper: "A place of neverending joy". ???

I have to disagree somewhat. I picked up an Etro shirt at Barney's sale last winter. It is a deep purple and chocolate brown large-scale plaid that receives a lot of compliments and is pretty subtle (for Etro anyway). Like any designer shirts that are focused on pattern and color (Paul Smith, Pink, etc.), it's all about picking the right item.

As for the quality, the fabric feels nice, but I agree about the buttons.

Yea, it seems as though their shirts are just too iffy and too inconsistent. As far as their other items, such as the suits, sportcoats, and pants, they fit nicely and are made well (Boglioli for the most part).

In the end though, I still wouldn't buy Etro or any other fashion-forward items at MSRP. At sale prices (>50% off), the suits, sportcoats, and pants are worth it, but the shirts have to be of a decent pattern/style and of decent fabric and marked down enough (>65%) to remotely be worth it. Definitely much better seeing the shirt in person to assess the fabric and of course, the fit.

What if you read my post again or get a neurone implant meanwhile ?
