Limit to three? Since balmorals are what I typically wear for work, my choices are Shannon, Inverness, and Beaulieu.

Dover and Galway have both been SF groupthink top picks.

I prefer the Shannon over the Galway, and not a fan of the Dover. But I like the boot version of the Dover, whatever it is called. Halifax?

I've never pulled the trigger on a boot though. Too unusual for my office, and no EG boot is actually appropriate for the romanticized tough weather/conditions applications.

Just because a model is popular doesn't mean a lot of people pick it because it group think. It just means it appeals to a lot of people.

Fellas,

only 3 EG is a very hard choice!

The Gladstone (unfortunately a Top Drawer) but in my opinion breath taking beautiful and classy
A Galway (so many combination possibility's) btw today i wear my Galway Veldts because we have some snow and rain and i found it very slippy with the Dainite Sole! I miss a Comando sole.
The Beaulieu

and then a lot of others! For me it is no option to go only with 3 EG:D

I won't claim these are the three best EGs or even necessarily my three faves - but they are the only three that I own and I am extremely pleased with each pair.

With respect to the Galway, I will say that it not only ranks as my favourite EG, but easily one of my favourite items of footwear on this here planet.

If you told me I could only own 3 EGs (and that you were going to buy me those three) I'd probably pick 2 Galways and a Shannon.

This prob happens with a lot of people...

I have ~10 pairs of EG, and while I'm not really in an acquiring phase any more, I expect future purchases to be mostly Chelseas or Piccadillys.

But over the next few years my shoe money's prob just gonna go toward resoling.

It's nice to have shoes that are understated and therefore more versatile.

EG's top 3 for me are the Chelsea, Oundle and Beaulieu. I know most of you will say Dover, but I've bought 4 pairs of Dover because of the groupthink and ended up selling every one. Not saying you guys are wrong, just saying that I don't get it

What made you keep going back to the well - the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th time? I'm being serious, not sarcastic.

Sorry if this is a dumb question but can the Galway be ordered without the toe cap? I have never seen it as a plain toe but am curious if its possible
