How can someone sell an oxxford suit @ 350 USD when he said the same is 3 400 USD in store?

That is the explaination?

Several possible reasons that come to mind:

-- the suit is not new. Offer price is starting point for depreciated value

-- seller hopes to encourage more bidders by starting low; get a bidding "war" going ideally

-- the suit is a less favored color (not classic gray or navy)

-- the suit is double-breasted, which appeals to fewer buyers

-- the suit's measurements are limiting. E.g., the pant's inseam is only 29 inches and is such that the pants cannot be let out much more. There are many Ebay items that have a much smaller market due to this fact, and thus can only be sold at a lower price.

for exemple = a navy/gray, new, not fused suits of a good brand with 70% off

Who has been fooled ?

For exemple = a fused, used, with defect in fabrics, different color...

Wow. That could be an awesome deal.

The ebay seller ParisVegas that I have mentioned in a previous thread always has a few Oxxford coats that go for $40-$100. However, the garments are always very wrinkled (definately will need a steaming or pressing) and the photos don't show much detail. Still, if you're the gambling type (like me), you could get a very nice deal. Plus, he always lists his stuff under 'mixed lots' instead of specific categories, so not a whole lot of people see/consider the items. He also usually has a 5-6 Borrelli shirts up at a time that go for low prices.

The answer is simple - someone, somewhere sold the garment to the seller at a very low price, allowing them to mark it up to a low price and make a profit. With the volume of high-end clothing produced out there, it is not an uncommon phenomenon.
