Duds for a two-day interview

I know, I know. But this time it's different! I swear!

I am interviewing to be a senior academic exec at a medical school. The first interview is a two-day process. I think I should wear a suit, but I don't want to wear the same one two days in a row. So my question is about the 'second day' suit.

First day: Meet the Dean, give a public talk, out to dinner with the selection committee. I am thinking this should be Navy Suit Day, with black Santoni cap toes.

Second day: Tour the campus, meet some students, meet with department heads, etc. This will be all daytime activities, on a Spring day in the US Southwest. I am thinking about my 3-button glen plaid with brown Martegani Lucca2. Is this too informal? Do I need to go buy a dark gray for day 2?

What say you, SF Authorities?

I actually think that would fine, esp. at the average med school. Having the two days means you show your serious side at the more formal first day, and a slightly more outgoing side on day two. As long as the glen plaid isn't TOO bold (no pink or bright purple overpanes, etc, etc) I think that would be a nice touch.

You are planning to wear a tie with the Glen plaid on the second day, right? If so, then I think you have a good plan for both days.

I think you are fine with what you have. Good luck with the interview process.
