It's the bags and accessories that are the bread & butter for LV. The RTW lines are there to boost the image of the brand as has been written several times (MJ isn't even involved with the menswear line at all, since ss 07 it's been directed by Paul Helbers who was previously at Margiela. Before that it was done by a team of three designers and their assistants iirc).

The last I heard in actualy clients (meaning not Beyonce at the Grammy's in Armani Prive) the number is about 800. Some have speculated that by 2010 between the Russians and the Chinese it might jump up to 1,000.

I didnt know MJ didnt design LV clothes but agree with you LV does not rely on RTW lines to boost sales. Maybe image because they still do runway for it.
