I have a pair of these that I bought in high school circa 1997. I wore them in high school for a year or so and then never wore them again, but kept them around because they were the only non sneakers I had for a while. I recently started wearing them again, mostly with this one pair of tight, boot cut jeans that my dad handed down to me from the 70s.

I always wanted a pair of Docs until I found a pair of brown Born Bonhams at Gander Mountain. They're similar in looks to Docs with a more subdued stitching....and a gorgeous patina.
