Try pulling your knot a little tighter, and pinch the base of it a bit while doing so. This should help you get a better dimple. See the pic of Spoo's knot in the post above yours. Once you figure out a basic dimpling technique that works for you, you'll pretty much get a decent dimple every time you tie your tie without much thought.
