Craig is Britain's best-dressed man
(Uk.news.yahoo.com)

Bond star Daniel Craig has been named Britain's best-dressed man - and comic Russell Brand the worst.

Men's style bible GQ has published its annual list of stylish celebrities.

Prince Harry is the first royal to make it into the top 10.

Craig topped the league thanks to his sharp-suited look in Casino Royale.

"No Bond since Sean Connery has worn it better. It works because the 007 uniform seems like an upgrade of what Craig would naturally wear," GQ said.

Tory leader David Cameron was second. The magazine praised him as "a politician who understands the news agenda is set as much by appearance as it is by words".
Children of Men star Clive Owen was third, followed by Little Britain's David Walliams, actor Jude Law and footballer David Beckham. Pete Doherty was a surprise entry in seventh place. Russell Brand was eighth, with GQ saying: "Some can't stick him but to others he's British exuberance encapsulated."

Designer Tom Ford was ninth and Prince Harry 10th. GQ called the young royal "the sartorial world's favourite Army recruit".

And Harry drew praise from designer brand Mulberry's creative director Stuart Vevers, who dubbed his look "modern and classic with a hint of rock 'n' roll".

He came 21 places ahead of brother William.

I think DC is pretty perfect as bond...he's raw which is something the other characters were missing. I've read in lot's of places, however, that the closest pre-DC bond to the actual book character (especially looks wise) was Timothy Dalton.

It was immediately dismissed as "too pre-war" and the comic book character instead was a hulking, brooding, muscle-bound fellow.

Ah ok. I knew someone would be much more apprised than I. Which Bond actor did you like the best?

Jon.

And some of my co-workers would like to see Texas once again stand alone.

Back to topic, I believe Fleming described Bond as looking like Hoagy Carmichael.

And I think there's just a tad bit of overreaction to DC's roped shoulder look.

Yeah, I think that one picture just shows a bad angle. Personally, I'm not against roped or even slightly concave shoulders, but it has to be congruent, especially with the size of one's head. Strongly roped shoulders make people like Craig who has a wide face look like his head fills up half the space between his shoulders.
