Not quite. But they also have a lower price tag. Many HG models are $700-ish whereas many EG models are $1,100-ish.

Right, it's six pairs minimum and the factory will check to see if they have any stock renaming. They used to use zug for both the Snowdon and the Veldt model derby shoe so fingers crossed they have enough left for half a dozen pairs of boots...

I received a reply from A & A Crack, they have zug leather. It costs £5.25 per square feet. A&A Crack is willing to sell it and there is no minimum order requirement.

Finally got home to open mine. Can't take any pics right now, but I would definitely say they are more on the ravello-ish side, even more so than round one. Perhaps in daylight tomorrow my opinion will change, but looking at them tonight they seem very close to a light ravello. Might have to snap a pic next to my ravello cordovan Alden wingtip boots for comparison (although my Alden Ravello is really dark).

Holy crap, they are gorgeous. I would have no need for a Ravello day tripper with those. Awesome! I think the C&J is a superior boot.
