Often, thieves run small test charges before making larger ones. If the small one goes through, I suppose they think no one's paying attention.

I couldn't agree more. Not only do I now check my accounts online daily, but I've had the cc company call about a suspect charge, and I could go online while on the phone to access whether the charge was legitimate.

Usually, only the last 4-5 digits of an account number are changed after an account has been compromised; it's much easier to hack the same account a second times. If you can talk them into it, ask for the entire number to be changed.

The entire numbers were changed each time this happened to me.

Last week we have many letters regard 7.50 charge from rebatesoft.
RebateSoft.com site want to notice: RebateSoft.com site is only software catalog and not process any card. Software purchase and delivery is process by Regnow.com system.
