I have two and am loving them.

So tell me how its aesthetics greatly diverge from any number of similar style recliners I've seen posted here and endorsed by those with good taste.

Once you muscle down your gag reflex all sorts of culinary possibilities become available.

Thank goodness. I was starting to fear the recliner I posted was not going to get any hate.

Short answer: it looks like an "executive" chair you'd get from Brookstone or an in-flight mail order catalog.

Long answer:

1. No cohesion in the design. The parts do not come together into an elegant whole. There was no effort or talent exerted in trying to simplify the form.

2. Individual elements are clumsy. The cushions are flat, rectangular planes that are too puffed up to be purposefully taut and too deflated looking to be purposefully full. The shape of the base has no relation to the body.

3. Overall design lacks the sort of tension that is effected when a thing is teetering on the edge of not being physically possible because the designer has pushed possibilities to the limit. Really well-designed furniture should feel alive. This does not.

It's not terrible, but is has a whiff of executive desk chair about it.

Agreed. But super comfy and the leather is nice and soft.

This is the perfect answer. Thank you for this.

I'm sure someone will come pick it apart.

Ultimately, why these and not the Eames lounge chairs? Price? What other pieces did you look at?

What color?

Also, how do you plan on situating two of these?
