Construction for sure. As far as leather I have 3 Buday..Cordovan, suede and calf. so it's hard to compare, My Vass are all calf leather. I am not down on Vass, it's when I pick up a Buday shoe and pick up a Vass there is no comparison. I wore a pair of my Vass the other day and noticed that after just a few wears the leather was already showing some creasing. Also all Buday's come with lasted shoe trees and incredible soles with metal toe taps. Just a sturdy ass shoe. Vass maybe has more styling options. Let me repeat I am in no way trashing Vass...just think Buday "trumps"

Another good reason is that I have worn these about 10 times and still no unsightly rolls and creases like other (Alden) shell shoes.

Nice clean lines! Is that the Mako last? It looks considerably narrower and longer than the Frakno/London last.

There was a nice pair on sale on eBay for 275 GBP and like an idiot I made three (declined) offers up to 200 without seeing that a. it was 50% off already and b. the sale ended 11 minutes later.

So, missed out on handwelted shoes for the price of mid-market stuff.

Anyway, I love this thread! Buday wearers, please keep taking and sharing your photos....
