I usually wear Brooks Brothers Slim Fit white dress shirts to work. I am looking for something a tad slimmer if possible. I have very wide shoulders, but a fairly narrow waist.

44L suit, 35" waist.

Any advice or suggestions is greatly appreciated, thanks!!!

Any shirt can be made slim.

Take your shirts to a tailor and he can make it as slim as you want.

At least that's how I do it. Nothing is as slim as I want off the rack.

Hmm... dunno if the BB extra silm are gonna be a good bet for him. I tried one of these on in my size recently and felt very restricted at the shoulder and chest, and there was still alot of material at the waist. Im around a 7 drop, maybe 8 on some days, but if he says he's got wide shoulders its gonna be real iffy. Besides, extra slim are all sportswear type shirts (and surprisingly thin), and not really appropriate for the office imo (hes looking looking for dress shirts right?). So for a man with the 9 drop, my advice is make sure are of good quality and somewhat slim to begin with, then get em tailored.
