I think the averaging process gives them all nice skin which (at least to me) is a HUGE factor.

But when the algorithm they used averages out the graphical representations of a face, irregularities like moles and freckles disappear, since they get averaged out.

this should be redone using passport photos. the sample is biased towards attractive woman notwithstanding the fact that these averages are predisposed to be more beautiful
