Voting below the line was the first time I've ever though "Matt, you know, the Australian Motoring Enthusiast Party aren't THAT bad..."

I got the Dark Oak :)

Speaking of which, if anyone's interested in a pair of Edward Green Edwardian Dark Oak Asquiths on the classic 202 last in a UK10.5/US11, hardly used, with lasted shoe trees, shoe bags and original EG box, please let me know.

See my "avatar" pic for details, or my Tumblr here.

They are beautiful, beautiful shoes but are just half-a-size too large for me.

I must also get around to listing some other shoes in a US10 and US10.5 as there are some others that I just don't wear.

Hey guys, how much tailored alterations are considered normal with an off the rack suit. I'm looking at needing to get sleeves lengthened, waste and chest suppression and removing excess fabric on the bicep.

This normal, or should I look for a better fit?

I'd say that's one too many and to keep looking. Waist suppression and sleeve length are pretty standard for otr, any more or anything to do with the shoulders would want to be a good buy to justify it imo.

Aside from fit what about cost what will this add to the price of an OTR suit? Is is economically viable? Why not go MTM to begin with?

Personally I would find a better fitting suit.
