Is this Seamaster worth $1000? From the 1950s.

Thanks for the info. I was also surprised, but was told the same thing at multiple stores. According to them, Japanese people have short arms. Sigh.

Is it possible to shift the buttoning position in a suit by closing the 2 buttonholes and getting new ones made at a different position ? Is it a good idea. Assume that there is sufficient lapel roll ...

anyone have any recommendations for cheap slim fitting suits with high armholes? everything i find in store has low armholes and i can't stand it.

I've tried searching but i couldn't really find anything. do h&m suits have high armholes?

just need something cheap to help get me through a few more months until i've got a steady income stream coming in, then i can start investing in some nice suits.

What is the rule for matching a shirt with a tweed Jacket?

Where can I get a nice pair of Grey flannel trousers for less than $100?

I don't know what your budget is but I just tried on some Brooks Brothers Extra Slim Fit Shirts today and they have high arm holes and surprisingly slim fit. They are $199 for 3, which is pretty good value.

I've been searching for a few weeks and haven't seen anything yet. Best I've seen is Howard Yount at $150, and they apparently have a pretty good rep around here.

Hey all, long time lurker, first time poster!

Looking into getting my first tie bar. How long should my tie bar be, relative to my tie? Most of my ties are ~2.75 inches at the widest point.

Is it worst to have a tie bar too long or too short? The one I have my eye on is sterling silver and is about 1.81 inches long. Think that will work?

Thanks in advance!

It's only a problem if the tie bar is wider than the tie.
