as of today, the forecast is rain/wind on thur-fri....dry but cloudy sat/sun

but I've been watching the weather and it changes daily so who knows what it'll actually be like this weekend, other than cold.

I'll probably drop by on Saturday (this Saturday, right?). The only thing that bums me is the no jeans policy. I like my jeans on the week-end...

Norcal/Ed - let's agree on a time range so we'll make sure not to miss each other.
(or maybe we can grab a bite before/after?)

There's a no jeans policy? No $#1+? This is enforceable ... how?

Probably the same Navy Seals that will be manning the security checkpoints in the lobby, elevator and halls to keep out people without invitations. I understand that Bruce Boyer is giving them instruction on how to identify properly dressed attendees.

I'll be stopping by on Saturday midday. Has Alex said anything further about presentations or did I misread that somewhere?

Looking forward to meeting some of you. I'm not certain what yet I'll be wearing, except that i'm going to wear a CEGO shirt for Carl's inspection.

I know it's not "enforceable" but I generally try to be polite and follow the dress code requested by my hosts

Yes, but there is nothing specified in regards to other items of denim. I'm sure a denim shirt and denim sport coat would look wonderful with a pair of wool dress trousers. You may even be able to find a denim tie on short notice.

Good policy. Still, the idea of a dress code for this event amuses me.

I'm going in the AM right after I drop in on the Asprey sale. Anyone else going this year? Last year we had a breakfast after the event.

The only caveat I have is that this years sale can't be as good as last year's because they were really liquidating then.

I wouldn't mind a breakfast and/or brunch post-Asprey, if anyone's interested. How about Sarabeth's?

And are we talking Fri. or Sat.?
