I recently acquired a pair of shoes with all leather toplifts and a distinctive nail pattern. While the original toplifts are not in need of replacement, I'm wondering when it's time to replace them if a local cobbler might be able to replace them & duplicate the nail pattern and the feasibility of doing so.
Or, should I just opt for the usual $15 combination leather/Vibram toplifts?
