Ditto. During a moment of indiscretion, I bought a pair of square-toed shoes on sale. It now sits in a place of prominence on my shoe rack, as a caution against future indiscretions.

Technically not style advice but a necessary component of correct appearance:

If you happen to have consumed a large quantity of onions, resist the urge to fart later, and not even a 'test fart', even if it means permanent internal damage.

You will suffer irreparable social catastrophe.

Or alternatively, avoid onions.

Well if gas is your problem, then problem solved.
Take 1 or 2 BEANO capsules before eating the big dinner.
It is an enzyme that will prevent gas altogether.
It's not just for older people. It's for everyone.

It could be as simple as : one should never wear white socks with black shoes etc etc, you get the point.

Do not wear yellow shirts with suits. Is this still considered stylish in Ireland?

Yellow is not a great colour for shirts especially on people with fair skins...
They do also love theirs shirts with pattern , the Irish...

It was very popular in Ireland for a while. I can't say that I noticed the patterned shirts thing, though I do own a lot of checks.

There's no such thing as rules for a "good cut suit". Rather a good cut is one that is good for the individual.

That's sounds like the foundation of a new reality show.

Yes, square-toed shoes are quite popular in the Land of the Free, Home of the Brave, thanks in part to Kenneth Cole.
