Sartorialist quote from article: "I'm totally ambiguous sexually when it comes to my work. I shoot what I'm attracted to."

Cuffed / rolled up jeans just look sloppy and make me think the wearer was just too lazy / cheap to get them altered.
I guess some like the look.
To each his own.

I'm in favour of the cuffed jeans fellow. It's a nice quirk that takes the wearer's silhouette in a slightly different direction

Just doesn't do it for me. The overall look is nice, but the rolled up jeans detract.

Really like your style, though, barims. Keep it up.

^ Cheers, will do. My support for the look doesn't preclude me from seeing your point of view, but it does depend on the attention to detail of the wearer. In the context of the outfit, I'd be disappointed if the cuff was contrasting, since the palette seems precisely coordinated. I don't wear jeans, but those are the sort for which I might make an exception

Really surprised at the anti-cuffed jeans crowd. So it's OK to wear jeans with a sportcoat, and de rigeur to have your trousers cuffed--but cuffed jeans with sportcoat is a nicht nicht?

Cuffed jeans don't really seem "cuffed" to me, (vs. trousers that are properly cuffed.) They just are rolled up. At least as far as I've seen.

Perhaps stems from me having to wear my older brother's hand-me-downs. They were rolled up so I could grow into them. I hated it and to this day don't like the look.

No offense to those that do, though. Again, to each his own.

These look to be actually cuffed. It is an abortion and completely contrary to what jeans are supposed to be. Simple turn-ups, on the other hand are perfectly fine for jeans.

All this discussion is making my head hurt. Rolling/cuffing raw denim is so extraordinarily common and widely accepted that I couldn't imagine there could be so much brouhaha around it...

Now, if that was a tailored and stitched cuff, that would be odd.

Yeah, looking closer, they looked cuffed, or as if there's some intricate rolling there.

Again, I don't like the look, but I'm not trying to proclaim my opinion as word (and no brouhaha,) just saying my opinion. I'll let it rest here.

Cheers all. Enjoying the forum and everyone's input.
