I'm a fan of the Black Fleece cardigans. Today my office is frigid so I'm wearing a BF V-neck sweater with my suit.

If you don't mind slumming it, Zara has some very moderately-priced, yet nicely-fitted wool cardigans. I picked one up there earlier this year. They're pretty good.

if you are lucky you can pick up one of RRLs super heavy gauge cashmere knits for ~$200ish down from $700 (or more). Call the LA RRL

I have two zipped ones from Avon Celli in very thick cashmere. I find that Cucinelli does finer knits best but for chunkier ones Avon Celli are really nice.

I just bought two Lands End cashmere shawl cardigans in navy and light grey. Substantial weight and slim fit. It was a gamble because LE cashmere is usually worthless but I have some hope for these. They will at least keep you very warm and are now cool (sorry) because Daniel Craig wears one in Quantum of Solace, a movie I know you hate, but I love.

Why do you have to make every thread be about teh geys!! I own one cardigan and almost never wear it, hard to pull off. I wear a robe when I'm slumming it home though so maybe that's why I don't use them.

I thought that you already walked around 24/7 with a man-hair cardigan.

Anything more would seem to be sweltering.

I dont like cardigans but it seems like H. Herzfeld always carried nice ones in camel hair and like 4 to 8 ply cashmere. Prices will command respect but you wont be paying for the fancy name.
