One of the better Burberry Shirts I have seen. I might be keeping this one, haven't decided (size L, button-down):

Brooks Brothers Green Corduroy (38/30)

Lauren, Ralph Lauren suits in 42L. Picked up 2 of these, one in navy pinstripe and one in gray pinstripe: . I'd be surprised if they were ever worn. The material of the navy suit is especially nice (92 wool/8 cashmere):

I came across these Tom James executive collection shirts and they still had the pins in them, brand new. 2 barrel and 1 french cuff. I had never heard of the brand, but I am in need of some new white shirts and they ended up fitting me like a fuggin' glove, so I am keeping these. I think they retail around $150 a piece.

Very cool - Henry Jacobson SC from Lord and Taylor with lots of details (46R):

Paul Fredrick SC Salmon and Green Window Box (48R):

Would be nearly impossible to lose money on for what I paid. I don't foresee much of a problem moving most of that on ebay.

Other than the dior ties, you can probably sell everything. Just not for margins that I would be happy with. I think some Valentino stuff may actually be worth money, but since I don't know the difference, I pass on it all. And actually, the burberrys jacket/pants you can probably trick someone into buying, but it's not the "good" stuff.

My main concern right now is selling accurately described quantity and acquiring some feedback. If I began by only listing the highest quality items, I have a feeling it would take me far too long to accumulate enough feedback to get things moving. I'd also suspect that there are plenty of buyers out there that will make no distinction between various lines within a brand - and are only looking for a name. However, I take my own opinion here with a grain of salt since I am new to this. As far as margins, it's going to vary between items, but I feel comfortable with what I paid. None of these were purchased from boutique thrift stores, all were from GW's, so it was a cheap haul.

I hope this doesn't set off another purity sub-thread, because that's not what I'm after. I think the point is that there isn't a need to post every single item you're going to sell on ebay. Compare, for example, what BP posts versus his ebay listings. Same for Cap. Post what is awesome, what you're really excited about, stuff (like RG anything) that will sell and is fun to look at even though we can't imagine why anyone would wear it, and we'll all chime in. Ultimately, post whatever you want to - but if you take up that much screen space/bandwidth with J.C. Penny licensed stuff, don't be surprised if people complain a little.

That's a lot of effort to essentially pay for feedback. And I'm not sure that the return on investment is there either. There's no feedback minimum to become a powerseller by the way, just a certain number of transactions/dollar sales.

Haven't been there, I just have to go to Raleigh for any decent thrift stores. I told you where I was when I PM'ed about the BB store a few weeks back
