also: just because he's asking 540 Euros doesn't mean they're worth 540 Euros / doesn't mean anyone is willing to pay 540 Euros. kinda like that douchey dude on ebay who lists Polo sportcoats for 80% of retail, and the listings just sit there with no movement.
that said, that's a pretty crazy find, especially if they're in a non-weird size!

They're size 13B, so definitely a market for that. And you're right, 540 Euros is outrageous. Completed listings on the bay show a pair of brand new Royal Imperials in shell going for a little over $200.

Fake North Face is definitely out there more than you think. I saw a similar jacket a year or so ago that was fake. There used to be a great eBay guide on how to tell a fake NF jacket. Had comparison photos of both the fake and authentic details side by side. I found the guide but it seems all the photos are gone. :(
Going by how you describe it, I'd assume it is a fake.

I found this, with photos!

You guys got me worried about the north face pants I'm currently selling, so I snapped a few pics. Based on all this I'm 99% that mine are real, had never even considered fake north face. Realistically I shouldn't be selling ski pants in the summer but gotta keep rolling things out.

Agreed...well...you can say the same for a lot of things. How much does a shirt made by Kiton sell for retail? John Lobb shoes? And you can walk into a store, or buy them online easily (or at
least I imagine you can). 540 euros is a lot of money, and any of us might have a hard time selling them for that, but those shoes are just as high quality, and being NOS, much (MUCH) harder to come by. People with large incomes pay a lot more money for more ridiculous things, and some pay a lot of money for worthwhile things; such as shoes the likes of which haven't been made in at least 25years. I think Polo sportcoats are an unfair comparison.

Really I'm just happy to have had a break in work long enough participate for once.

...patiently awaiting end of summer / beginning of autumn, to root thru the "next season" stash and drag out ski boots, winter vests, heavier wool / tweed jackets, flannels and what-have-me. When do people typically start thinking of buying autumn / winter wear - after Labor Day? I have noticed that interest in short sleeve shirts has waned on the bay, which is why I listed most of mine in the last few weeks to start clearing them out...kind of a transition period where things have gone flat.

Do either of these pictures set off any red flags suggesting inaunthenticity? I recently sold this tie that I thrifted and the buyer feels that it is a counterfeit. I do not know much about Versace however it looked and felt like a quality tie.

Thanks

There should be a a red North Face Tag with the serial number on the jacket as well as a tag showing the season.

Also, The embroidery is real bad on this one.  Fake in my opinion. It's going to find their way to someone on here that knows the story, so no harm no foul :D

Thanks for the help! I agree with you on that one, fake.

Thanks for the photos! They're incredibly helpful. No worries though, yours are legit. They look exactly like mine that were purchased at retail.

Someone take me to school on these.  I've never picked up Florsheims before, so all I know is these have lots of nails and are v-cleats.  Imperial's aren't as good as Royal Imperials right?  And when did they stop making these?

To somewhat answer the question, Royal Imperials are above these, but, really, that's hair splitting, I think. Don't know when they quit making them other than a long, long time ago. Those are, as others have said, utterly amazing. If it helps, I sold a pair of odd-sized dead stock Royal Imperials, black, a couple years back--IIRC, they were size 9 and super narrow, at least an A if not AA. It took me awhile, and I had loads of inquiries, with more than the usual number of requests to measure soles. In the end, I think I got about $150 for them from someone in Japan, natch.
