Thanks. I needed a voice of reason. Shouldn't be buying anything anyways, but I had to make a return so... well... I was already there.

It looks like one of them swiped it with their marker. Is there any hope at all for this thing or should I just hang my head and take it back now?

I read that thread. Not saying that I condone or agree what Frenchy was saying at all. But I must question why Holymadness is not in permanent time out from his racist insults?

i dunno, i'll take some in your face racism over the thinly-veiled racist crap that comprises 90% of the posts in the CE portion of this site. when someone is overtly racist and stupid, you can at least say "hey dude, keep that crap to yourself or else we're gonna have problems." with the thinly veiled crap, you can't even bring it up, because otherwise the dude will passive aggressively say "what! race has nothing to do with this, i just think that {insert weak deflection here}. YOU'RE the racist one for even bringing race up in the first place!"

It'd be nice if the lawyers that populate this thread could replace those members with "clout."  I feel like our relative newbdom imparts us with more humor and general forgiveness than is expressed in other parts of this forum.   In this thread, we can argue about all nature of things, then a few posts later all roll our eyes and move on once our high horses become tired and pause for a drink of water.

Missed so much:

The average age of this thread is much lower than I thought.

Mainy and I have a lot in common. We are both 23 and started selling on eBay way before it was "legal" for us to do so.

Frenchy was banned frown.gif I wore a V-neck t-shirt today in his honor.

I wish racism didn't exist so I wouldn't have to hear people bitching about it EVERYWHERE. SHUT UP ALREADY.

On unrelated news...

Found my first ever "Extra-slim fit Brooks Brothers" shirt today. It's actually nearly slim enough to work.

Also picked up a project Bianchi with (mostly) Campagnolo parts...(105 derailleurs and shifters--sacrilegious co-mingling of components there).

No pictures. Too lazy.

Well said. This thread is the only one I consistently post in because I feel everybody here, for the most part, is pretty cool and laid back. That being said, we are all a bunch of savages compared to the dudes on AAAC.

Damn right.
I was quickly put in my place yesterday over at AAAC for daring to ask what the quality of Florsheims is like these days.

I couldn't wait. Picked this motherfucker up for cheaper than a shirt from J Crew. I'll be rocking it for the next couple decades. icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif

Yeah, but since it's D&G and not the more expensive stuff, I thought that was the norm. I just assumed they made stuff side by side Boss in Turkey happy.gif

I know it was mentioned a few pages back about Van Laack. I found a nice unlined khaki jacket the other day. I forget the size, but I want to say an EU 50 or 52. It may have had patch pockets (I swear I'll remember things until you've seen 100 jackets and then details get lost). I do remember that it was priced at €16 and in great condition/possibly unworn.

If anyone is interested in it, let me know.
