In a similar vein, I found this ('40s? '50s?) sweater at a vintage store a couple weeks ago. It'll be perfect for Ohio State games in the fall. If the whole OSU football program doesn't get shut down by the NCAA.

Last friday, after an oil change, I visited a few thrift stores around that area that I only visit whenever I get an oil change. Here are some of my finds:

Nordstrom Tie, Christian Dior Tie

AE Lloyd's size 12B in great condition w/ no deep scratches(not my size but PM me if you are interested) + Size M Woodlore Shoe Trees

And lastly, the most awesome find that I've come across in a while, a pair of Danner(Made in Portland, OR) hiking boots and it was also in my size! Vibram soles with minimal wear and the leather was in great condition. They look great with my Wrangler 936 Jeans and Carhartt Coat. I also found some other non-style items : Nothland Japan Stainless Steel Dining Set(23 pieces) - Mother's Day Present for my mom, Logitech Trackman Marble FX, Casio Calculator, Squarefoot Gardening by Mel Bartholomew.

Don't bother shopping at Goodwill stores in SoCal.

Today I witnessed a teenager stealing a bunch of wallets. They only cost at most $5 each.

They took me in the back and had me write down what I saw. On the wall there was many pages printed from this thread. Mostly lists of brands, but there was some pics of shoes. On the top of each page the words "Hold" were written in red ink. I don't know what “Hold” means, but I assume it is not good for us.

I think it fits decently for not having had alterations, though maybe this is just wishful thinking.

Can't see pic. But yeah, it doesn't fit. If shoulders are 18-18.5" mail to me asap.

It's too late for that now. Pandora's box has not only been open, but for too long a time. Too many youngsters don't know or comprehend the old wisdom of 'keeping a good thing quiet and to themselves'. No one can blame the thrift stores for learning when it is their willing, outspoken and bragging teachers who are to blame. With threads like this to teach them, the prices will only continue to go up. I wouldn't be suprised at all to see one day soon, a pair of Aldens regularily marked at $90. Save yourselves and delete this thread...lol.

I found a new pair of black Danner Military/Police boots for 14.99 and flipped them on the Bay for $133. If they were my size I'd have been tempted to keep them. Some serious boots!
