actually the guy that sold it to me off craiglslsit had 8 bikes (those are his in the pic) i bought 4 so he gave it me for $60 for all 4.he wanted $30 per bike if bought individually but Frenchy ground him down, the nicest one of all (a french made Miele) he didnt wanna sell beacuse it belonged to his grandfather who had passed away, that bike was sweet.

I was kidding. You posted a picture of bikes in a not-so-domestic bike stand and the bike in the next picture had been repainted.

Sorry to hear of your losses.

In the spring-fall, they're all over the streets of Minneapolis. Especially Uptown. Go to any Whole Foods or organic food co-op and they are usually an equal amount of vintage bikes in the bike racks as there are cars in the parking lot.

Here's some horrible pics of the Isaia and Lanvin shirts from a few weeks back, if anyone could educate me about the Lanvin I'd appreciate it. I haven't been able to find any information out about the silver/black Lanvin label, tag says it's made in Italy if that helps.

Nope the argyle & sutherland is a Bert Pulitzer. Right now I have no clue as to what the flippables might be outside of the BB, Lanvin, and Liberty. I may be smarter than the average Barely Legal centerfold but I've still got loads to learn.

Did you complete most/all of the restoration yourself? I wonder because I'm in a similar predicament. I found an old Rose road bike at a yard sale a couple of years ago for $5 (the deal also included an old bike lock which I used until it broke and a helmet). I've been using it to get around campus quickly and easily and it serves as a replacement for my bike that was stolen. It's in pretty rough shape right now: rust along the frame, gears, cables; a bent back wheel; etc. so I took it into the bike shop to see what could be done. They recommended I convert the bike to a fixed gear and replace the back tire. $68 + whatever the tire costs. My questions are: 1) Is this something with some patience and research I could do myself? 2) Is the bike even worth salvaging (I realize I don't have a picture of it but I can get one tomorrow in the daylight if anyone is willing to help me out)? I don't know anything about the brand. Some cursory research led me here, but whether my old Rose bike and this company are the same is a mystery to me. So this post isn't completely sartorially irrelevant, I did find a vintage Chaps Ralph Lauren hunting shirt jacket at Goodwill the other day.

Wood buttons, suede elbow and collar bone (for lack of better word) patches. Everyone that's seen it has either loved it or hated it. I'm in the former category. I was curious if anyone could identify around when this was made. Again, if anyone is interested in helping me out with the bike (whether frenchy or someone else) I can get a photo tomorrow sometime. Edit: Forgot to mention, the bike is beautiful frenchy.

Not to be pushy, but I feel as if my croc loafer post a few pages back was immediately swamped by tons of subsequent posts...does anyone have any experience thrifting/flipping exotic leathers? I think I have a good find, just not sure how good.

I actually think yes you can. Just check it out or give it to a more experience person in the filed and you are in for a real treat.
