No dice at the thrift store today, only thing in the ballpark was a pair of AE Malvern chukkas, barely worn if worn at all. Size 14! Any bigfoots out there want to kop, I'd be happy to proxy.

14 is certainly huge. Last pair of AE chukkas I found were gorgeous, and a miniscule size 7. What I wouldn't give to find a pair in my size! (you know... for cheap)

Had a pretty decent day today. Hit some thrift shops before the snow started to fall. - orange mystery sweater. Someone cut the tag off, but it has a capitol H with two dotted lined stitched into the collar. I'm thinking it may be Hermes. Can anyone confirm this or have any ideas who else may have made it? - Blue Loro Piana dress shirt. No label on the collar area, just the tag on the inside of the shirt. No size tag either. I'm very impressed with the amount of handwork on this shirt and the MOP buttons rival Borrelli's in terms of thickness. - Lucchese boots. I'm really cuious as to what type of leather the bottoms are made out of. I'd figure it would have been stamped on the boot somewhere. I can take a better close-up shot if someone thinks they could help ID what type of leather it is. I found a somewhat similar pair online that have Hippo leather bottoms and I think these may be Hippo. They're definitely exotic. Anyway, they were also marked "Discounted Shoes", so they were a mere $1.49!

Nataku, nice Luccheses!

If not hippo, might they be elephant? I have a pair of elephant boots that look very similar.

+1 on maybe being elephant.

Yeah, the colors orange/brown scream Hermes to me for some reason. That and the H stitching. I know I've seen it or something similar somewhere before, but can't recall where. Can't find any Hermes items with it on eBay or online. Hmmm....

From what I've gathered Jack Victor is a mid-range made in Canada brand sold at "higher" end department stores such as Nordstrom's and Bloomingdale's. I've seen a few and always thought they were nice, but never in my size.

More importantly, however, I suggest you buy my beautiful Oxxford sportcoat

I saw these on Wednesday (or today, I can't remember - maybe today....). They were pretty nice and very recent too. These were the first I had seen of the Jack Victor stuff with their newer label.
