found an awesome pair of florsheim white bucks today. They are in fantastic condition but seem older and much more well constructed than other Florsheim stuff I've seen. $4.99!

Great jacket, Orgetorix - just a bit of waist suppression and you're set. Three patch pockets

Florshiem used to make a top quality shoe. They went downhill starting around the 70's. Really a shame, but they used to make damn good shoes.

If it says made in India though, they're crap.

I passed up a pair of Alden 684 shell cordovan. Great shape but they were a 13c and figured they would be something of a hassle to flip. On the plus side I did grab a USA Eddie Bauer wool cable shawl cardigan. It is a Medium Tall so it is a bit long, but it will be nice to knock around the house in.

^Wow--fantastic!

I picked a pair of Alden suede monks from Ben Silver on clearance last fall, but $3 for shell blows my buy away.

Picked up on the way home this evening - 2-button unvented sportcoat with patch pockets in a brown moleskin, quarter lined. Note the '40' sizing - this thing measures 18" at the waist with 26" sleeves, so 36L / 38L. Luckily it fits (just)....

I absolutely love old labels:
