Haven't found anything in a store recently, but e-thrifted this Etro for nice and cheap (and it's quite wearable).

Finally, something I bought discount a few years back - Filene's basement in Peabody, MA. At the time, I knew nothing about tie brands, but had heard of the concept of a seven fold tie. Was pretty sure I'd found one:

The Zegna is available. Also somebody buy the blasted shoes in my sig!

Does Countess Mara still put the ugly little embroidered logo on the front bottom of their ties?

I think it's time I made a serious post, not a wildly satirical one.

Most forums on the internet censor those words, but this one doesn't. We are all intelligent people that self-moderate pretty well. We all also have our own sets of opinions, but what we need to realize is that other people are allowed to have a different opinion.

We should not look at what was obviously a joke as a hateful message, because it wasn't directed at anyone in particular. Dex brings up an excellent point on it being okay to objectify women as used goods.

Really all I think martinigirl intended was to say some of you need to loosen up. Way to prove her prove her wrong.

I reiterate. What made the post offensive was not a random word used, it was the repeated tone behind it (XYZ character trait makes you gay, hahaha). What makes this in any way different from saying XYZ character trait makes you black, other than the fact that homosexuals are a more allowable group to tease?

I haven't insulted you once (other than, I guess, calling you a 'grown' woman, but nothing was meant by that). My point was it's an odd double standard that you are allowed to make broad, stereotype-based jokes and just go ITS JUST A JOKE HAHA DON'T GET YOUR PANTIES IN A BUNCH, but when it affects you you find it distasteful.

Pick a side. Patrice O'Neal (who embraced offensive comedy at any level and was happy to accept knocks against himself) at least had internal consistency.
