Speaking of Ebay, got a fun one going right now.

Guy bids USA made Polo flannel blazer up to $200. Hmm, that's weird. Nice jacket, not that nice. Ship it off instantly, he gets it today, INSTANTLY opens a case with Ebay, as in hours after delivery. "Large holes! Smells bad! Numerous other problems totally unworkable, contacted seller numerous times".

Sweet Jesus, here we go again! The only question is, will Ebay force me to take the return (Yes, no doubt), and what will I actually get back in the mail. God I hate that website

Only one thing today - sort of interesting, though - a NWT Lacoste polo. The return sticker is still on from Macy's, so I'm actually halfway tempted to take it to Macys and see if the person paid with cash...

Also, goshDANGIT I hate when I'm just scrolling through, see OMG AWESOME STUFF IN MY SIZE... and it's dm7. >.< OF COURSE! I should just stop reading the thread and stick to Ebay. :nest:
(gratz dm7... nothing short of stunning on a daily basis. :worship:)
(edit: GOOD GOD YOU EVEN MATED YOUR ORPHANS.... WHAT THE HELL?! you must live in some fantasy never-never-land. seriously. :nodding:)

If it happens, add him to the ban list. It won't get you your money or jacket back which obviously really blows, but it might help some other poor sap from falling prey in the future.

Someone in my area donated a MASSIVE amount of 80s-90s fashion clothing, mostly Giorgio Armani, Gianni Versace, and other brands I've never even heard of (my girlfriend knew some of them, but neither of us can remember the names). I went to two stores, each of which had about 30 items from the same donor. The items mostly were sweatpants, hoodies, dress shirts, crazy pattern rayon shirts, some sweaters, etc. Quite a bit of them still had tags on them. The thing was, they wanted $20-$40 for everything. I don't know much about vintage fashion labels, but would anything be worth picking up? I would only be interested if there was something worth $100+ with certainty.

Should have taken some pictures, but labels looked like this.

EDIT: One shirt I was really tempted on was a NWT ($250 or something) Gianni Versace black linen dress shirt, priced at $35. It didn't even have shell buttons though which made me a bit suspicious about authenticity.

I am crying inside. I had it the other way round recently. Someone sent me something, that was stained and clearly worn well but advertised it as worn maybe 2-3 times and didn't mention the stains and no pictures of them. He got hit with a case, just waiting for my money back now.

Wait...that means someone had to be bidding against him up to $199!!!

Positive its not within a few miles of someone else you had a problem with in the past? that's always my fear, they get someoone else to mess with your ebay account and "win" an auction so they can leave neg feedback.

Include diamond tennis bracelets and marble statutes or I'm no-go on the deal.

I have a marble statue for sale

Talk to me about this crazy Versace you saw. Not black, the wild stuff. Handsome rewards are earned this way.

Was out of town the past two days for some family issues. Did however manage to hit some thrifts on the way back today:

-Etro Wool tie (I think it's older, but not too wide and great looking pattern repp pattern)
-Two Polo Bear ties (Tux - navy/red)
-Ugly Ass English Laundry Button Down Sz XXl (got it cheap enough and it was in excellent shape so I'll try eBay with it)
-Really nice grey Aquascutum SC....no tage but it's in the 42/43R range
-Orvis POW button down Sz L...very little wear.

-And last a new pair of JL Powell Botswana Boots made by Crispi in a Size 10. They are too big for me so they are available. There are some slight difference from these:

Wouldn't they have record of him contacting you/trying to contact you? Couldn't they request proof of the damage?

Oh, almost forgot the brag part, caught up in the recent eBay posting crossfire. Cufflinks!

The square MOP ones are mounted on sterling, they were the first I got (eBay) as I followed recommendations posters here suggested.

Several pairs thrifted for a buck or three (some came free, attached to shirts with french cuffs!).

Three pairs were picked up at a local coin dealer, who had a rack of 25-30 pairs in his window obviously from an estate auction buy. I overpaid for those ($18/pr), but I pay for choice, sometimes, after too much "catch as catch can" in the thrift arena.

Now begins the slow, arduous process of upgrading one pair at a time with vintage gold-fill and sterling alternates...

STRUCTURE! Thanks for this...it was driving me crazy. I like totally forget from whence my hatred stems...possibly from their trademark blurry plaid (making you feel like you'd just been dosed at lolapallooza or something), or the fact they were owned by The Limited, where as the sole male employee I was teased almost daily by all the brutal MILFs who'd wander-in (why, why did I have morals back then? I shake my fifteen year-old self! You fool!). Structure...bleh.

I want that Tintin tie. So epic.
