Anyone have the deck boots and have advice on sizing? I'm thinking true to size just because I can live with slightly too big but can't with slightly too small if I size down half a size (like seems to be consensus with the boat shoes) and it doesn't work out.

I find mine to be a little long in my true size but the shoes are very low volume so I couldn't go down any more because of that. I'm a 12 in most tennis shoes, 11.5 in Alden Barrie or Truebalance and I went with a 12 in my Quoddy boat shoes.

I just bought a pair of the brown suede bluchers from South Willard in size 8.5 and they fit perfectly. At first they felt too narrow, but after 15 minutes of walking around they stopped hurting and now fit like a glove!

Anyway, sizing down 1/2 size like many recommended was definitely the right choice. For reference if it helps anyone else, I wear a 8 in chucks and size 9 in most everything else.

Funny I mentioned that to him and he said he ordered those too. Love that charcoal and the olive is beautiful in person.

^would definitely pick up a pair of those with a black sole so I am going to keep my fingers crossed. I have been wanting to get a pair of their quoddy's with the suede for a while, haven't seen it up close but the suede seems to have a very nice nap to it, has been on my list for a while.

I actually kind of like the charcoal and red brick sole bluchers. Like Quoddy's in general, I'm nervous I wouldn't be able to incorporate it into my wardrobe.

The nap does look great doesn't it, I can't recall how soft they are though will double check next time and verify charcoal bluchers are coming.

Easy, can take the place of db in fits.

50YR does not work at OConnells. I got an e-mail from one of the reps notifying me that the promo ended in May. I still ended up getting the pair but thought I should let others know.

How long does it take the canoe mocs to stretch out? I know they are supposed to mold to your foot after a while, but how long does it take? Mine are pretty tight (in the width, even though they are an E width), but not painful, and I'm trying to decide if i should keep them or sell them.

IMO, sell them. They should have fit perfectly to begin with.

Possibly a dumb question, but I've never owned any higher quality moccasins before...I just received my Quoddy brown suede brick sole blucher from South Willard, if these get wet will they be okay? Should I put some kind of protective coating on it or anything?
