I considered the iphone, but hear the service mostly sucks.

I too was waiting for iphone g3, but then read all the bad reviews re: reception. A $300 phone should be able to make and receive calls, yes?

The Dare is compact, touch screen works nicely, battery life is great (so far). I use mine for calls and music. I'm not a texter, but it does have a full qwerty keyboard despte some initial reviews.

I also liked that I could use my microsd card from my former phone (LG Chocolate) and that it accepts the full 3.5mm headphone jack. Transfering data from PC is much easier too.

No dislikes come to mind.
