it's one of those things where you have to suspend disbelief....just like the Joker having time to wire an entire building to implode without anyone noticing him.

I think that half the suit was actually "fused" onto his body. This usually happens when a person is burned while wearing clothing.

It can be removed, but in the movie Harvey purposely left all of his wounds untreated. I think it all made for a more shocking effect.

Well, in the movie the Joker is supposed to be a brilliant criminal mastermind. It's not that hard to believe that someone of that nature can plan something like that.

Yes, and no. He was a self-admitted guy with no "plan"...just a dog chasing cars. However, as my friends and I joked; between the makeup, and the most elaborate of plans, the Joker was one organized dude. He had plans coming out the wazzoo!

I don't believe that he was wearing that suit (or any jacket at all, for that matter) when he was burned. It was an entirely new suit, and undamaged. Anyway, he was wearing a hospital gown during his conversation with The Joker when he "became" Two-Face.

The Joker obviously had a plan, and part of that was playing himself off as less than/something other than he really was. That is, I'm sure, part of the reason he kept changing his origin story as CharlesAlexander has pointed out (I also found that hilarious!) The "dog chasing cars" remark was calculated manipulation on his part, meant to drive Harvey Dent over the edge. Almost nothing that he said to Dent was actually true.

Come on, the guy has a perfectly tailored, full bespoke wardrobe in insane colours and patterns that he's taken and virtually destroyed. If that doesn't illustrate his mental state, I don't know what does.

I saw quite clearly that Two-Face was wearing his half burnt suit from the explosion during the showdown at the construction site.

And I do believe that one of his ties was a seven fold!

RE: The Two-Face Suit - I thought it was just burned down half the side when I saw it briefly?

I agree, but the point i'm making is that there guys are wearing the clothes, they arent showcasing them.

Yes it annoyed me a bit that he left his lapel hanging half way off his shoulder during his speach, but i believe that the movie producers didnt feel it entirely that important.

There were plenty of other scenes which showcased the suiting well.

In the Tim Burton Batman movie, Tommy Nutter of Savile Row did the Joker's suits, while Herbert Johnson did his hats. Was Ledger dressed by Armani along with the other fellows? Had Gianni been alive the legendary rivalry could have reared its head once more... Donatella has no talent.

Why Post?

You responded to a thread in Men's Clothing forum, yet you expected people to overlook the various "style crime" committed in this movie. Nice try, but I don't think that's how it works. If discussing, like, you know, the actual movie is your kind of thing, there's a 10+ pages topic in the Entertainment & Culture forum just for your perusal.

Seriously man, take a look around at differing topics SF has to offer. Venture to the CEsspool, and you might never look at the world the same way again!
