Thanks, great contribution.

It was actually the same thing I was thinking.  Thought it was a serious question

What exactly is "German calf"?  I see it mentioned on some Kazuyuki Kumagai Attachment & Isamu Katayama Backlash jackets, but there isn't much info about the leather itself.  As far as I've read from here & SZ, it seems to be some sort of vegetable tanned jacket that's really thick and sturdy.  Anyone know where it's sourced from, though?

I think you could of went a sized down on the jacket. But that maybe because the pants seem a bit baggy and proportions are off.

nicelynice seemed knowledgable about it in the past. brad-t might know as well.

From what i understand its a nice supple high quality vegetable tanned calf leather that isn't really inferior to the guidi leather they use. Fairly certain my brown leather jacket uses it and it's really nice and soft while substantial and durable.

That board jacket is more restrictive than a suit of actual plate armor, so I am betting that is how it is holding his body. I can't imagine what sizing down would feel like. Fit looks good to me. I hear the black breaks in very nicely. Enjoy!

what's the market value for something like this? I assume it'll probably get a bid before auction ends?

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Rick-Owens-Intarsia-high-collar-leather-jacketPoellSaberiAugustaJulius-/221569766849

Also does anyone know if rick's jackets fit slim? I read that it's generously cut and fits TTS compared to the cuts now. Went through sz, saw lowry's pics, etc. Thanks.

Jacket looks great to me. Imagining that jacket one size down feels uncomfortable.

If those are "baggy pants" to you, you haven't seen baggy pants yet.

Rick generally fits slim. It depends on size and season. The intarsia msrp is 1500+ normally, a special edition here is even more expensive http://www.serie-noire.fr/ConceptStore/lang-en/fw14-15/4618-men-jacket-leather-rick-owens-intarsia-high-neck.html

I think its worth 1200 total but you have to factor in ebay fees and etc, pm the seller maybe you can make a deal on paypal.

Thanks, I meant the specific jacket called rick's jacket though that's discontinued.

One more question, what's thicker, LG (washed lamb?) or LS silky lamb, I imagine LG by a lot?

If you could see the contortions I go through to put it on and zip it in the 42... I probably should not have taken all the pics save one with the jacket zipped. It's very slim fit and wearing it zipped was only for fit pics and emergencies.

Thank you Synth... I was probably also holding my arms out a bit to show the chest / waist fit better. Sizing down would feel like a back brace.
