I BOUGHT A PAIR OF SELVAGE "ONLY BLU", THEY LOOK CLEAN AND NICE EVEN WITH NON-SNEAKERS. BUT LOOK AT MY OLD JEANS: DESPITE OF ****** QUALITY, I TRANSFORMED INTO VERY COOL, USED FOR 3 YEARS, DESTROYED, PUT IT TOGETHER AGAIN WITH PATCHES AND SEWING IT UP BY HAND!
SO I BOUGHT TWO PAIR OF ONVIS, ONE TO BE KEPT BLU, NICE AND PLAIN,
AND ONE TO BRING TO THE SAME LEVEL OF MY OLD JEANS AND SEND IT BACK TO THE FACTORY TO BE CHOSEN AND REPLICATED FOR AN ONVIS HYSTORY! CHECK OUT: www.onvis.it

I think it's okay to wear brogues with jeans as long as everything else your wearing looks kind of dressy. I would never think brogues could look good with baggier jeans, but someone like Singular from MC could definitely make brogues and jeans work well.

Also, PG2G, from what I have seen of your fits you are usually fairly dressy for SW&D standards so I wouldn't see it being questionable for you to wear brogues with jeans.

Yeah that's true. But they are almost always Paul Smith brogues, right? Try making those look bad. And he also usually only wears brogues with fairly slim cut jeans anyways. If he's got baggier pants on he gets a chunkier shoe like RW boots.

Hahaha! You can't be serious. You say to avoid brogues then you say nothing too shiny or dressy. The dressier the shoe the plainer it is (no brogueing). You are contradicting yourself, plus brogueing in shoes is meant for more casual dress... Oh yeah, the only people who should wear loafers with jeans are people on a boat, or retired baby boomers. Here is how I do it:

Love this thread. I'm in the EXACT same situation as the OP.

Please keep em recommendations/pics coming. I want to buy some better shoes (other than sneakers) for my jeans but have no idea what. Can't seem to find Desert Boots anywhere in Malaysia's Clarks stores.

I wear almost nothing but dress shoes and loafers with jeans. However, my style of dress shoes is not highly regarded on these forums, so I wont make any recommendations

I will be posting some pictures of me wearing in the coming few days.

All of these work really well, especially those on the right.

Question: What is this "brogue"/"broguing" to which you all refer?

I saw some really great black captoes, a little distressed, on the John Varvatos site.

Blundstone boots work well with jeans, so do loafers.

Jungle boots. Depending on how you treat them they can be anywhere from formal- if no one sees the nylon ankle. i've worn a pair with a suit and got compliments on them- to as worn and tattered as you can stand. These have seen alot of hard service over the last 4 years and they definitely show it.
