I ended up buying one of the rabbit felt hats even though hats are typically not my thing. I actually like it alot - it can be molded into whatever shape you please but also feels very sturdy. Their customer service email also responded quickly with sizing advice

Seems like super cozy and high quality.
I already mailed them to ask for if productions by providing measurements would work.
For that kind of quality I think I'm fine to pay it well,prices for accessories leave a hint.

I think they only do mtm in person, but let us know what they say anyway.


I really like the asymmetric jacket, maybe if I'm in NYC sometime I'll try to make it happen. Can't see myself making a special trip for it, though.

It would be great if those of you with Stoffa jackets, trousers, etc. could post some pics and additional thoughts about the process/garments. It seems there's just not a lot of info out there about Stoffa

I stopped by their San Francisco trunk show earlier this week. The stuff is really, really nice. The leather jackets are softer and lighter than they look online. Fits in well with their whole casual, slightly Italian style. I thought the flight jacket was the best of the three, but they're all great. One of them had this interesting pocket style where there aren't any seams (hard to explain). Almost looked like the pocket "grows" out of the jacket.

They also have a new line of undyed natural wool overcoats, which I thought were great. Especially in the solid tan or tan herringbone. Again, really soft and the fabric moves in this beautiful way. Sized just big enough to be worn over a traditionally sized sport coat (even the heavy tweed I had on that day), but can also be worn on its own.

The bags were really interesting. Made from calfskin, so they have that soft hand, but shaved down to make them lighter weight. Full leather bags in that size normally feel heavy, but this is about half the weight. To keep the leather from sagging, they've backed it with some kind of structure, which is in this nice blue color. I thought they were really thoughtfully designed.

I ended up picking up one of the oversized scarves. Their presentation online is really nice, but the stuff is so much better in person. Kind of thinking about getting one of the bombers or overcoats in the near future, but I'd have to make it to another trunk show.

I can say for sure they only do in-person measurements--as their MTM customer for 1 year now. One reason for this is so you can have a proper discussion/conversation with them and tell them how you would like to wear it and how it would fit your lifestyle. Their approach is different-- a much more personal one, making sure you get what you need. I have heard stories where they have refused orders from customers simply because they were excessive for a first order. And if you're willing to spend the time travelling to their trunk shows, it will be all the more worthwhile, then you'll see why they only do in-person measurements.

One reason for this is so you can have a proper discussion/conversation with them and tell them how you would like to wear it and how it would fit your lifestyle. Their approach is different-- a much more personal one, making sure you get what you need. I have heard stories where they have refused orders from customers simply because they were excessive for a first order. And if you're willing to spend the time travelling to their trunk shows, it will be all the more worthwhile, then you'll see why they only do in-person measurements.

Can you comment a bit more on the process? How long does it take for them to complete the garment? Is a single fitting sufficient?

My experience with Stòffa has been nothing but great. Agyesh is a really nice, grounded guy with a clear passion and knowledge about his products. There really is a clear thought behind each design and product, from fabric to design and coexistence with all other product.
The bags for instance are all designed to work with each other, each bag fits inside the next model etc.

So far I've only ordered trousers, but I'm eyeing those jackets on every trunk show. Haven't dared trying them on yet though, as I suspect I wouldn't be able to resist an order

In terms of number of fittings, for me one has been sufficient, as you base your measurements from trial models and adapt. With each order however we've changed and adapted my pattern slightly in search of the perfect fit. This is a natural process when doing MTM, and part of the fun imho.

I've always picked up my order in the following trunk show, so 4-5 weeks after ordering, but I believe at least trousers are done after 2-3 weeks.

Next trunk show here in Sweden is actually next week, I'll pick a pair of taupe single pleat trousers in peached cotton. Will post some picture from the trunk if anyone is interested.

If I'm not wrong, Stóffa only do single-fittings (when you receive the garment). But I concur! Wear the garments and see how the first profile feels and wears in. If there is a certain area you would like changing, do it with the next order. I think the idea isn't to achieve a 'perfect fit' but to reach a stage where changing the measurements won't matter any more.
I would also suggest following their advice if you're not sure: they test their products for 1-2 years before rolling it out to customers so they would likely have encountered a similar problem/issue before.

This is a very valid and important point, you can be sure whatever you pick up has been tested thoroughly, they know how each garment and fabric adapts and evolves over time.
