The change was made to shoebank.com because of performance issues we were seeing with the pages. Due to the high volume the sale was triggering, the site was becoming unavailable. Many customers are only selecting their size and width, which on popular sizes can return between 300-350 items and pictures. Believe me when I say, I don't like pagination either. However, we needed to do something quickly to make the site work for our customers. Also, we would never implement a change to the website during a sale period unless its absolutely necessary. In this case we decided it was necessary.

We have fixed the issues with the filters. We will look at adding an additional option to select the number of items per page to display.

I appreciate your comments and suggestions as we continue to improve shoebank.com

Thank you,

Since the change was to improve performance, and not to add functionality, I've got a suggestion that should be right up your alley.
When the outlet store style belts were added to the site, I noticed that the pictures of those particular belts are loading much more slowly. Perhaps you could dial down the resolution on those thumbnails.

Look outside at 12am :). Only available for a week in two styles. Real good price for firsts.

At midnight, it's dark, so midnight blue makes sense. But I also see the moon, which is a very light grey. Then again, some people say the moon is made of green cheese.
Putting this all together, I see spectator-style Strands and McAlisters headed our way, in a combination of midnight blue, light gray, and green.
These are going to be awesome!

I ordered a pair of Oxblood Grayson's from the Bank and they were delivered yesterday. The wife saw them before I did. She wasn't too pleased about buying another pair so soon. I may need somewhere to sleep for a few days. Filthy barn weasels ......

Question for you expert AE guys, what belt do you wear with the gray longbranch?

I don't have any gray Long Branch, but if I did, I would wear a casual-looking black leather belt with them. Other weasels in this barn will have different opinions, but I think a gray belt would be too matchy, even if you actually had a gray belt.

I have to laugh anytime someone says, "Do you even walnut, bro?" (I think @MattRiv was the latest) I was a bro who did not walnut until recently. IMO oxblood > walnut however walnut is more versatile than I originally thought. Another 5 more walnut pairs and I should be set...
