Yeah, those commando-soled kirkwood boots from unionmade look lovely.

Super under-rated. I have the Kirkwood Color 8 Cap Toe boots on Commando from Unionmade 2014. They ran them the last time they also ran the Halleck with dark edges on commando.

It's a barrie lasted boot, which I know some/most prefer the Grant version (4060 or 4060HC), but the Grant last doesn't work well for those with a narrow heel and low-instep... atleast in a non-custom size. These have speed hooks and commando so they're a great boot for everyday use. I'm a huge fan!

PSA:

Size 12D Grant lasted color 8 wingtip boots with antique flat welt on commando are on their way back to TSM. Unfortunately the grant last is not a good fit. It's a bit narrow in the toe box but sloppy in the ankle, which is exactly the opposite of what I need with my duck feet.

These were on the irregular list, so they should be available in a week or so. Here are the defects:

Wonky stitching on the back:

Collar was folded when stitched:

Wow, those look pretty messed up. I guess it makes sense...you hear folks talk about getting seconds with such minor defects that there not noticeable at all. There had to be the opposite of that....

Wonderful boots!  I'm typically not a huge fan of an antique edge with color 8 but it really works well with the tankers.
I'd jump on a pair but I already have a some with a black edge.

Thanks!

These are superb, IMO ravello is the best shade of cordovan. Its unfortunate that they are so difficult to acquire. This is the only piece of ravello I've got my hands on yet..

Thanks Gabru, Ravello will have to pop up again someday soon!

LS Choco Tankers for tanker Tuesday

Those are just soo nice Don! Great slacks with them as well!

I guess a few of us were in NYC the last few days. I hit up Leffot, Epaulet and AoM. Sadly no purchases. I should have hit Citishoes! That collection looked great.

To demonstrate the versatility of Color 8. WTBs with a navy suit...

... And with denim (needed to pack for both my conference and going out later for dinner)

Nice looking WT Boots Henry! Glad that you got to make the rounds. You hit up some mighty nice stores! :)

Thanks to Mike, I read your NYC blog and marked on Goolge maps all the stores you recommended, I happened to be very close to CitiShoes so I had to stop by. I also visited AoM, less cool make up there but also a nice store.

Wow, glad that my NYC post was useful! Glad to help! Citi and Madison aren't that far apart. :)

+1 Mike, I never comment on your shoes because well, I'd be commenting every day. Like saying great shot every time Steph Curry makes a 3. But these are fantabulous.

You be looking good rocking them tankers JD!

Those may just be the perfect boot.

I wonder if my Ravello WTB will ever land at AOM?
I"ll drool over yours for now Mike!

Steve

Wow those are amazing. Great combo with the pants too.

You have been killing it these past couple of days dubsy! @mdubs (That's not to say that you do not normally kill it my friend)

Wow Mike.. Excellent example of Ravello. These came out perfect!

Thanks guys!!! The pants were their maiden voyage, a recent MTO from Epaulet. I was soo excited to wear them, that I thought that they deserved the pairing of the WT Boots. :) Your pair will be along soon Steve! I think Ravello can't be that much further out!

ravello ptb and ep rivets

Those look great Chris. Really like the whole combo in picture number 3, but I really like purple and blue in general for some reason.

Hi everyone. New to the forum. Long time wearer of Alden LWB's for corporate wear. Recently got into boots. Hooked! Does anyone apply taps/plates on heel/toe for protection? Thanks!

Very nice, DV. On commando too? Where from? And the trousers might be even sweeter.
Thank you ironclad. They're from leffot. Commando is my favorite sole. The epaulet pants are a pretty sweet.

Great boots dubs. i want a pair. @ptaylor23 welcome to the show. Alden lwbs were my gateway drug as well. Yes, some people add taps. our good friend Sazon comes to mind.
